How many weeks?: 17 weeks, 5 days
Size of Baby: Sweet potato: 5.5 inches, 5 oz
Countdown: 22 weeks left (Only 156 days!! SCARY. Why is this pregnancy going by so much faster?)
Total weight gain/loss: +1 lb
Maternity Clothes?: Not yet.
Energy Levels: Depends on the day. Some days I have tons of energy, some days I have zero energy, where I barely make it through the day.
Exercise Habits: Managing to exercise 45-90 min of cardio/weights five days/week. Swimming laps (only 1750 yards at a time), hiking mountains, yoga classes, Zumba classes, spin classes, stationary bike at home.
Physical Therapy: Hips are starting to hurt more during the night. It helps to sleep with a huge body pillow between my legs.
Sleeping?: Horrible. I wake up 3-4 times a night just because. And then it takes me a while to fall back asleep. Thank goodness for my iPhone and mobile news websites and Netflix.
Worst Moment in the past 2 weeks: Baby girl getting her first molar at 13 months. Then getting sick. Then getting me sick.
Best Moment in the past 2 weeks: Hiking to a waterfall by our house, then getting sno-cones afterwards. Weekends are the best.
Isla's Reactions: Fascinated by my belly. She loves to pull up my shirt and pat my belly. I keep telling her there is a baby in there, and she keeps laughing and slapping my tummy. Then I take her hand and show her how to gently pat my belly. This lasts for ten seconds before she goes back to the pounding.
Miss anything?: Wearing jeans. Baby is resting comfortably right across where I button my jeans, so yoga pants and leggings, it is.
Movement: I've seen the baby kick several times in the past week!! Real, tiny, little punches. I feel her move daily now, when I'm laying or sitting down. I love this part.
Morning Sickness?: Really bad nausea in the morning. I can usually Lamaze-breathe through it.
Food Cravings: PB&J sandwiches. Nectarines. Taco Bell Chicken Quesadillas. Nectarines. Fudgesicles. Nectarines. Grapes. Nectarines.
Food Aversions: Chicken. Chocolate milk. French fries. Ice cream. Peaches (fuzz, gross.)
Showing yet?: NO. This freaks me out. I am working out a lot more than last pregnancy because I can work out when I have energy in the mornings, as opposed last time, working 8-10 hours a day and coming home and crashing. But my body just holds that baby in for as long as possible. So, I just look like I've gained 15 lbs. Thank you, bloating.
Gender Prediction: GIRL. Isla's getting a little sister. I've felt this way since before I even got pregnant. We find out in less than two weeks!
Labor signs: No braxton hicks yet.
Moods: Why does being pregnant stress me out??? I de-stress by staying away from this blog & facebook & twitter.
Not Looking Forward to: Glucose test. Months away, and the thought of it already makes me sick.
Looking Forward To: BABY BUMP, WHERE ARE YOU? Can't wait for my 19 week ultrasound appt to find out the gender!
Battle of the bellies... looks almost exactly the same as my last pregnancy. This makes me feel a little better. That means I'll have an official bump by 22-ish weeks.

New follower via SITS! Wow, you look amazing! I craved fruit and citrus too when I was pregnant but you're killing me in the bump department! So cute and you look fantastic! My belly was so round and had popped by 16 weeks!
ReplyDeleteYou are so sweet! Sometimes I feel like something is wrong with me, since I'm not really showing yet. I wish I had a cute bump at 16 weeks!
DeleteWow you are not showing AT ALL! Thats awesome! you look great!
ReplyDeleteThanks girl. Sometimes I'm happy about it, and sometimes I'm annoyed by it. But I'm mostly oblivious to it. Because there is no outward manifestation, I forget I'm pregnant! Well, now that morning sickness is gone.
DeleteSkinny Mini Tracie! Gorgeous Girl! Model Material...always were...always will be. :) Cute Swimsuit by the way I wish you were craving ice cream...we could have totally had an ice cream party. :( Boo. Maybe we'll have to have a PP&J party instead. Remember when you brought me a frosty and fries after I had Zurie? Mmmm...good times. What should I bring you?! Can't wait to find out what you are having!!! It really does seem like this pregnancy is flying by! Poor teething little Isla! Zurie is getting seven teeth right now...I heard you can't compare the molar to other teeth..but I kinda feel your pain. :S
ReplyDeleteHa, thanks, that is an old lifeguarding swimsuit that I barely used, but works great for my workouts. Bring me yourself so the babes can play and we can chat!!
DeleteCute and adorable- looking forward to following your progress :)

DeleteYou look great! For my first (and only) I started showing at 19 months. But they say for your second you start to show right away... you must have great genetics. Excited to follow your progress... found you on Mom bloggers club.
ReplyDeleteAh, I am so glad you found me on there. It has been so frustrating trying to find current readers. Love your pictures!!
DeleteI took longer to show with my second, but you are so tiny! I'm super jealous, I was huge with both of my sons :) You look great!
ReplyDeleteThanks girl! Except, sometimes I feel like there is something wrong with me. Am I REALLY pregnant? Why do all my clothes not fit? I'm at that awkward phase between regular clothes and maternity clothes. Ok, *sigh*, I guess I'll be sloppy. Yoga pants forever.
DeleteCute, mama! I craved citrus like mad!!!!
ReplyDeleteCheers. Thanks for visiting via Bloggy Moms.
Thanks!! I crave water with lemon or lime slices, if that counts??
DeleteOkay. I'm not so sure we can be friends. LOL! At about 8 weeks people are like... "Whoa girl! Lay off the cookies already, jeesh!"
